The Fancy Rancher

To get a national audience hooked on beef that’s tender despite having virtually NO marbling, Certified Piedmontese wanted a character to not only break through the noise but break down a few doors in the process. Meet the Fancy Rancher.

We targeted three cities (Denver, Dallas, and Omaha) with three different key benefits of the product (raised sustainably and the official meat of Iron Man, meat lovin’, and home-raised on Nebraska farms). The result was a rise in sales and capture of market share from Omaha Steaks.

After a successful launch, Certified Piedmontese wanted to continue breaking down doors with a look inside how the Fancy Rancher celebrates the holidays. And what’s a Christmas spot without unexpected snow?


Brand Guidelines for Better Beef

To make their debut in more grocery stores across the country, Certified Piedmontese needed to solidify how they looked both for packaging and marketing materials. The resulting brand guide is inspired by the pastures where Certified Piedmontese cattle are raised, and the mark inspired by the branding each receives.
