As a 110-year-old ag cooperative, and one of the largest in the country, Aurora Cooperative must retain the next generation of family farmers in order to keep operating and growing. And in the next 20 years, 70 percent of farms and 5,000 of Aurora’s legacy farmer-owners, will pass on their land.
For their 2020 annual member meeting, we developed a campaign that showed how the close working relationship between the cooperative and its growers can make all the difference to their operation. Because Aurora Cooperative knows their roots.
Connect Your Own Roots
We developed an interactive landing page to help farmer members connect with their roots — and connect back to Aurora. Farmers plugged in their family’s personal information, then a custom generational video was generated showing how deep their family roots go.
An Annual Report to Help Operations
We developed a report booklet for the annual meeting to highlight the sales, earnings and data of the cooperative. After an attendee survey, 83 percent of visitors confirmed that they used the report as a valuable tool to help their operation succeed the following year.
Engaging the Youth with a VR Experience
To better connect with Gen Z FFA teens about their products at their upcoming annual meeting, we wrote an in-depth VR script that was turned into an experience that had guests lining across the venue up to try. Attendees could dive into the soil and see how Aurora’s products impact corn and soybean seeds through each growth stage. 94 percent of event guests saw the year’s show as more interactive than in years past.
